“This is the song that never ends. It will go on and on my friends. Some people started singing it not knowing what it was and they'll continue singing it forever because this is the song that never ends…”

Any adult like myself who grew up with 1990s television may remember this theme song sung by Lamb Chop to Shari Lewis on the PBS children's show “Lamb Chop’s Play-Along.”

I remember this song filling my bus on the ride to school, rounds filling the classroom on occasion and, of course, singing it to my own audience at home made up of my parents, dolls and brother.

It’s the first song that comes to mind now as an adult as I wonder how all those adults put up children's music. I recently complained of being sick of certain songs my 2-year-old loves to have on repeat, but a fellow church member stopped me with some advice:

"Embrace it! Play them over and over until you think you will lose your ever-loving mind! Do the actions! Play the CDs in the car! It WILL end sooner than you think! And then it will be just a memory of the song that would not end. 'Baby Beluga;' 'Naturally, Down By the Bay;' 'The Itsy Bitsy Spider;' 'How Much is That Doggy in the Window,' some song about old Mr. Johnson’s cat; the lullaby song; 'I’m Gonna Drive My Car;' 'B-I-N-G-O,' the lullaby album by Plumb, and many others that — gasp — I cannot remember right now.

"Just embrace the heck out of those wonderful songs because before you know it, much less innocent lyrics attempt to infiltrate the headphones....and that’s a far less pleasant headache to deal with than 'Baby Shark.'"

So, in the spirit of embracing it, I thought I’d share my 2-year old dauther's Top 5 playlist below.

5) Old MacDonald Had a Farm

4) The Ants Go Marching One by One

3) Pete The Cat | Wheels On The Bus

2) Walking In The Jungle
