April is a month with many special days, here they are in all kinds of ways.
Today (Thursday, April 22) is Earth Day but it’s also Love your Thighs Day if you’re feeling risqué. It’s Jelly Bean Day, so give in to your sweets and Beagle Day too so give your dog treats.
Perhaps you’ve noticed, but there is a trend, I’m trying to make sure each sentence rhymes at the end. There’s a very specific reason for this, April is Poetry Month and it was a chance I couldn’t miss. I do have to admit that rhyming every sentence is harder than I thought; each new sentence fills me with dread and makes me distraught.
But holidays in April to get back to the topic at hand, this month is Jazz Appreciation Month if you wanted to start a band. April is also Active Dog Month if you own a pooch, so make sure to let them run around and give them a smooch.
The month is Stress Awareness Month and I feel the need for repentance because I thought I needed to rhyme at the end of each sentence. It’s Garden Month, Adopt a Ferret Month and Straw Hat Month too, and yes, with the rhymes I’m going to follow through.
April is a month where the weather frequently changes and has lots of rain, and just when you think it’s nice outside it snows again.
Doing a Take 5 with rhymes in every sentence is not something I’d recommend, nor is it something I’m going to defend. But I made my choice and stubbornly stuck with my guns, now I wish I would have done something with puns. But now the rhymes are coming to an end, because I just don’t want it anymore.
Yes, twist ending. No more rhymes.
