To The Mail-Sun:

While I don’t have any problem with moving to standardized trash receptacles for the city of Sheldon, indicating that in some way this will help “beautify our town” I think, is silly. Simply having nicer trash cans, I don’t believe, will have any effect on the “beautification” of Sheldon.

What I do think would have a powerful effect as to the “beautification” of our fair town, is to encourage property owners, private and business to keep the grass off their curbs, to keep streetside properties trimmed of grass/weeds, and to encourage those who like to fly the U.S. flag to replace those that are overly faded and frayed/shredded in the least.

Thanks for the opportunity to comment.
