There are so very many ways to enjoy strawberries, but none better than straight from the garden, warm and ripe.
If your trip to the strawberry patch resulted in very many berries, try one of these tasty desserts — varying from super simple to a bit more involved.
We think you’ll find them very, berry delicious.
■ 6 tablespoons triple sec
■ 1/3 cup fresh lime juice
■ ¼ cup silver tequila
■ Zest of 2 limes
■ 3/4 cup sugar, divided
■ 2 pounds fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
■ 1 8-count can jumbo butter-flake biscuits
■ 1 cup heavy whipping cream
Mix triple sec, lime juice, tequila and lime zest. Add ½ cup sugar and stir to combine. Add berries and toss. Set aside for 1 hour as juices develop. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees and place biscuits on baking sheet. Brush tops with a bit of the heavy cream and sprinkle with two tablespoons granulated sugar. Bake 20-22 minutes. Set aside to cool. Whip remaining heavy cream with final 2 tablespoons sugar.
Split biscuits in half, layer with strawberries and whip cream.
