INGREDIENTS:

■ 2 cups water

■ 6 black tea bags

■ ¼ teaspoon anise

■ 1 teaspoon cloves

■ 1 teaspoon cardamom

■ 1 cinnamon stick

■ 6-8 black peppercorns

■ 2 teaspoons grated nutmeg

■ ½ teaspoon ground ginger

■ 3 tablespoons honey

■ 1 teaspoon vanilla

■ 2 cups milk, any kind


INSTRUCTIONS:

Combine water, tea bags and spices in medium saucepan. Bring to simmer over low and heat mixture for 10 minutes. Discard tea bags and strain mixture to remove spices. Stir in the vanilla and honey. Place in refrigerator for one hour to chill.

To serve, fill glass with ice cubes and add chai mixture to halfway. Add milk and serve immediately.
