Linda was born to Beverly Jane (Milne) Giles and Dr. Walter Clark Giles on Dec. 29, 1946, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was the oldest of their three children. Linda attended Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs and went on to attend nursing school. She then met her husband Alfred George Kruger Jr. of Sheldon, Iowa. Marrying on March 2, 1968, they first made their home in Omaha, Nebraska, but then moved back to Sheldon and eventually to the family farm. To this couple, three children were born.

Linda spent countless hours loving and taking care of her family. Cooking, baking and endless gardening and canning. The bigger the group, the better. She also made beautiful brightly colored quilts for the births of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Linda made the most beautiful hand-stitched Christmas stockings for her family and friends alike. She will be so very loved and missed.

Left to lovingly remember Linda is her husband of 55 years, Alfred; daughters Angela (Joe) Nilles, April (Mark) Brady; son AG (Laura) Kruger; brother, Clark (Susan) Giles; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Last, but not least, her companion Frank (her dog) who she loved endlessly.

Preceding her in death were her parents. Dr. Clark and Beverly Giles; Al’s parents, AG and Myrtle Kruger; and sister, Leslee Hays.
