ROCK RAPIDS—A 36-year-old George woman has pleaded guilty and been sentenced for stealing funds from the George-Little Rock Booster Club based in George.
Shawna Beth Henrichs was charged Monday, Jan. 18, with first-degree theft, a Class C felony, in a complaint filed by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
She allegedly stole the funds between April 10, 2019, through Dec. 16, 2020.
The George-Little Rock Booster Club reported $75,521 stolen from its checking and saving accounts, according to court documents.
In a plea agreement, Henrichs pleaded guilty to third-degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor, on Sept. 27 in Lyon County District Court in Rock Rapids.
She was ordered to pay $30,721 in restitution, an $855 fine, a $128.25 surcharge and $100 in court-related costs.
Henrichs also will be required to wear an electronic monitoring device until costs have been paid.
She also had been placed on probation with the 3rd Judicial District Department of Correctional Services for two years.
