SHELDON—Two Sheldon men were cited about 7 a.m. Saturday, July 24, in Sheldon on charges of disorderly conduct — fighting/violent behavior.
The citing of 77-year-old James Burton Johnson and 41-year-old William John Kamstra stemmed from a complaint at the Deluxe Apartments in Sheldon, according to the Sheldon Police Department.
Johnson was confronted about driving through the grass at the apartment complex by Kamstra and the two became involved in a verbal argument.
The argument escalated and Kamstra punched Johnson in the head.
Johnson admitted to driving his 1994 Chevrolet K-1500 pickup toward Kamstra in an attempt to run him over, according to the incident report.
