ROCK RAPIDS—Two people face charges after the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance call at about 11:40 a.m. Friday, July 5, at 209 S. Lincoln St. in Rock Rapids.
Twenty-five-year-old Tyrell Williams of Memphis, TN, allegedly wrestled with 33-year-old Tamika Denise Niccola Beckom who lives at that address during an argument, according to court documents.
He then attempted to leave the residence with her vehicle.
When Beckom tried to stop Williams from leaving in her vehicle, he allegedly struck her in the stomach, according to court documents. Beckom is seven months pregnant.
Williams and Beckom also were found to be in possession of marijuana.
He was arrested on charges of domestic abuse assault and first-offense possession of a controlled substance.
Williams also was ordered not to have contact with Beckom.
She was arrested on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
