MATLOCK—Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision about 3:05 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the intersection of 280th Street and Lily Avenue, one mile east of Matlock.
Thirty-three-year-old Gabriela Ahuatzi of LeMars was driving north on Lily when she pulled out from the stop sign and her 2010 Subaru Outback collided with a westbound 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by 27-year-old Ashely Swets of Hull, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
The two drivers were transported by the Boyden Ambulance to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center.
Ahuatzi was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way.
Her vehicle received an estimated $8,000 damage.
The Swets vehicle received an estimated $10,000 damage.
