HAWARDEN—Two Hawarden residents were cited Friday, Oct. 18, on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The arrests of 70-year-old William Edwin Bowden and 64-year-old Trudy Ann Paul stemmed from the execution of a search warrant about noon at their residence at 804 Avenue H, according to the Hawarden Police Department.
Marijuana was located in various corners of the living room.
Bowden and Paul admitted to possession and use of marijuana, according to court documents.
Marijuana smoking pipes, papers and grinders also were located in the residence.
