ALVORD—Two people face charges following a traffic stop about 1:45 a.m. Saturday, July 6, on 210th Street near the Dove Avenue intersection about a mile west of Alvord.
The arrests stemmed from the stop of a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta clocked at 77 mph in a 55-mph zone, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver, 20-year-old Carlos Eduardo Villegas-Carrasco of Sibley admitted to drinking beer
at a residence near Inwood, according to court documents.
He was arrested on charges of second-offense minor in possession of alcohol, driving while suspended and speeding.
His passenger, 18-year-old Jocelin Fariaz Hinojosa of Sibley, also was cited for minor in possession of alcohol.
