LARCHWOOD—Three people were arrested about 10:10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort northwest of Larchwood.
The arrests of 30-year-old Jesse James White Eagle of Wolsey, SD, on his birthday; 26-year-old Carly Jo Holden of Rapid City, SD; and 26-year-old Dillon Lawrence Harrington of Wolsey, SD, stemmed from a deputy making contact with White Eagle and Holden in a 2002 Cadillac Escalade, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
The deputy initially was unable to locate identifications for White Eagle and Holden.
White Eagle provided a false name to prevent the deputy from finding out there was a warrant for his arrest out of North Dakota for breaking and entering a motor vehicle, according to the incident report.
Holden provided a false name to prevent the deputy from finding out there was a warrant for her arrest out of South Dakota for methamphetamine possession.
With the assistance of Lyon County K-9 Rizzo, White Eagle also was found to be in possession of multiple bags of meth.
White Eagle was charged with first-offense possession of a controlled substance — meth and providing false identification information.
A search warrant later was obtained and several “dirty” needles and a straw with meth residue were located in Holden’s purse, according to the incident report.
Holden was charged with first-offense possession of a controlled substance — meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. She also was charged with providing false identification information and being a fugitive from justice after South Dakota authorities confirmed the warrant and were willing to extradite her back to South Dakota.
Harrington was charged with obstructing prosecution or defense after providing a false ID during the investigation of White Eagle and Holden.
