SHELDON—Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash about 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, at the intersection of Seventh Street and Ninth Avenue in Sheldon.
Eighteen-year-old Reegan Ann Fischer of Sheldon was driving west on Seventh Street when her 2016 Kia Forte struck a southbound 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 48-year-old Timothy Allan Linn of Sibley, according to the Sheldon Police Department.
The Linn vehicle was pushed west from the impact and came to rest on top of a fire hydrant, breaking off the hydrant at the ground level.
The Fischer vehicle spun 180 degrees and came to rest facing east on Seventh Street.
Linn and 48-year-old Tila Ann Passow of Sheldon, a passenger in his vehicle, were transported by the Sheldon Community Ambulance Team to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center.
Eighteen-year-old Jade Madyson Jahner-Tuttle of Sheldon was transported by a grandparent to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center.
Fischer was cited with failure to yield to a vehicle on the right.
Her vehicle received an estimated $5,000 damage.
The Linn vehicle was totaled.
The fire hydrant received an estimated $2,000 damage.
