HULL—A Rock Rapids teenager who was driving a car that struck a Hull home in early August was arrested Friday, Oct. 11, on a charge of first-offense operating while under the influence.
The arrest of 18-year-old Kaytana Lezle Heimark stemmed from an investigation into an accident that occurred abut 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, in Hull, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
Heimark was driving a 2004 Honda Accord west on Seventh Street when she failed to stop for a stop sign at a T-intersection, drove over a curb, crossed a lawn and struck a residence on Linden Street.
She was transported by the Hull Ambulance to Sioux Center Health and later flown by helicopter to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
Heimark had bloodshot, watery eyes and the odor of an alcoholic beverage and admitted to drinking, according to court documents.
