HOSPERS—One person received minor injuries in an vehicular accident about 9:40 p.m. Monday, July 8, at the intersection of 420th Street and Log Ave, two miles south of Hospers.
Fifteen-year-old Emily Faith Haack of Granville was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu east on 420th when she pulled out into the intersection.
Nineteen-year-old Kirsten Glackin of Everly was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu north on Log Avenue when she swerved to avoid striking the Haack vehicle and lost control of her vehicle, which entered the west ditch and rolled, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office
Glackin was transported by the Hospers Ambulance to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center.
Haack was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way.
The Glackin vehicle received an estimated $4,000 damage.
