HARTLEY—A 27-year-old Spencer man was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, on a charge of second-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana south of Hartley.

The arrest of Dylan Everett Halbur stemmed from the stop 2001 Chevrolet Lumina for an equipment violation at the intersection of Warbler Avenue and 390th Street, according to the Iowa State Patrol.

A glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine and a black container containing a clear container of marijuana wax were located in the glove box in front of Halbur, who was the passenger, and he admitted the items belonged to him, according to court documents.

Halbur also was wanted on O’Brien County and Clay County warrants.
