ORANGE CITY—A 35-year-old Sioux Falls, SD, man was arrested about 2:20 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, in Orange City on charges of first-offense operating while under the influence, possession of an open container of alcohol as a driver and no valid driver’s license.

The arrest of Eric Scott Sprecher stemmed from the stop of a 2015 Honda CR-V for erratic driving near the intersection of Highway 10 and Albany Avenue, according to the Orange City Police Department.

Sprecher had bloodshot, watery eyes and the odor of an alcoholic beverage and failed preliminary sobriety tests.

An open bottle of Mountain Dew with whiskey in it was found in the vehicle, according to the incident report.
