SHELDON—A 33-year-old Sibley woman was arrested about 12:25 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia; driving while barred; and driving while her license was denied, suspended, canceled or revoked.

The arrest of Rachel Michele McFarland stemmed from the stop of a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 pickup at the intersection of Ninth Avenue and Ninth Street in Sheldon, according to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office.

McFarland admitted to having a small amount of meth in the vehicle, according to the incident report.

The deputy located a small resealable bag containing meth along with multiple items of drug paraphernalia, including a glass meth pipe.
