SIBLEY—A 39-year-old Sibley woman was arrested about 5:55 p.m. Thursday, July 11, on a charge of second-offense operating while under the influence.

The arrest of Angela Kay Kooima stemmed from the stop of a 2004 Toyota Highlander with a nonfunctioning brake light on Olive Avenue near the Highway 9 intersection about two miles north of Sibley, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

The deputy observed an open container of alcohol inside of the vehicle and Kooima admitted she had drunk a couple of alcoholic drinks earlier in the day, according to court records.
