SIBLEY—A 27-year-old Sibley man was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, on a charge of first-offense trespassing.
The arrest of Jordan Lawrence Gregory Lovan stemmed from a report of an intruder in a home southwest of Sibley, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
The caller said she heard someone enter the front door of the residence and walk upstairs.
She was frightened when she realized the person in the house was not her husband because her children were upstairs, according to court documents.
She waited in the kitchen until the intruder returned downstairs.
The intruder, who was dressed in camouflage clothing, told the caller that his name was Jordan Lovan and that someone had told him to go to this house, according to court documents.
He refused to leave until she dialed 911.
Lovan was located a short time later after he was observed walking behind the barn.
