SHELDON—A 52-year-old Sibley man was arrested about 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, in Sheldon on a charge of assault.

The arrest of Edward Mahlon Gonshorowski Jr. stemmed from him threatening to hit another man in the head with a hammer during an argument, according to the Sheldon Police Department.

Gonshorowski pleaded guilty the next day in O’Brien County District Court in Primghar and was ordered to pay a $250 fine, a $37.50 surcharge and $60 in court-related costs.
