SIBLEY—A 40-year-old Sibley man was arrested about 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, on charges of first-offense operating while under the influence and no valid driver’s license.
The arrest of Esteban Gonzalez Gomez stemmed from the stop of a 2012 Toyota Tacoma for speeding at the intersection of Fifth Street and Eighth Avenue, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
Gomez had bloodshot, watery eyes; slurred speech; impaired balance and the odor of an alcoholic beverage and failed preliminary sobriety tests.
He also admitted he had been drinking, according to the incident report.
