SIBLEY—A 20-year-old Sibley man was arrested about 4:20 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, on a charge of interference with official acts.

The arrest of Landon Michael Edward McConnell stemmed from him riding a bicycle, cutting through residents’ yards, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy driving a patrol vehicle turned on his lights and yelled at McConnell to stop, but he continued until rounding a corner from Seventh Street onto Seventh Avenue, where he hit a dog, according to the incident report.

McConnell dropped the bike and took off on foot until he was stopped about two blocks later.
