SHELDON—A 26-year-old Sheldon man was arrested about 12:55 a.m. Saturday, July 13, on charges of public intoxication and interference with official acts in Sheldon.
The arrest of Kevin Gordon Crafton stemmed from him “lurking behind a business and in backyards with no shirt on” in the 1300 block of South Second Avenue shortly before midnight, according to a complaint filed by the Sheldon Police Department.
Crafton “was very agitated and smelled strongly of alcohol,” according to court documents.
When an officer stopped Crafton and asked him to produce identification, Crafton refused and took off running. He was caught about two blocks away.
