SHELDON—A Sheldon 19-year-old was injured in a one-vehicle accident about 8:50 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, on the 4700 mile of 300th Street about two miles north of Sheldon.
Zachery Thomas Paul Broesder was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 east on the gravel road in blowing snow that limited visibility, according to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office.
Broesder told authorities he realized he was driving too close to the south ditch and overcorrected and his pickup entered the north ditch.
The vehicle struck a box culvert and rolled, coming to rest on its roof on top of the east end of the culvert.
Broesder was transported by the Sheldon Community Ambulance Team to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center.
His pickup was totaled.
