SHELDON—A 33-year-old Sheldon man was arrested about 1:40 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, on charges of third-offense operating while under the influence and operating a motor vehicle without a required ignition interlock device.

The arrest of Brenton Nathaniel Delaney stemmed from the stop of a 2007 Chrysler 300 for dark window tint on the 600 block of Second Avenue, according to the Sheldon Police Department.

Delaney had bloodshot, watery eyes; impaired balance and the odor of an alcoholic beverage and failed preliminary sobriety tests.
