SHELDON—To thank the community for its support, Sanford Sheldon will host a drive-thru event on Wednesday evening, July 8, offering free summer treats.
“The last few months have been challenging for everyone, but we are so grateful for the support the community has shown us,” said Dr. Amy Wingert, a family medicine physician at Sanford Sheldon. “This event is a fun way for Sanford staff to see our friends and neighbors and say thank you, while maintaining social distancing.”
In addition to the free summer treat, Sanford Sheldon will host a car parade for its residents and patients. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. with lineup beginning starting at 5:45.
Participants are encouraged to decorate their vehicle and join in lifting the spirits of the residents and patients.
Each household should be in a separate car.
Community members should not attend if they have any coronavirus symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath.
The event will run 6-8 p.m., or while supplies last, on July 8 at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center.
Attendees will be asked to remain inside their vehicle.
