SIOUX CENTER—A 33-year-old Rock Valley man was arrested about 8:55 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, in Sioux Center on charges of public intoxication and interference with official acts.
The arrest of Juan Felipe stemmed from a report of him being intoxicated while walking in Sioux Center, according to the Sioux Center Police Department.
Law enforcement found Felipe staggering while walking north along Seventh Avenue Northwest.
When Felipe was approached, he walked away from police and refused to obey commands. He resisted being detained, refused to obey commands while in the patrol vehicle and directed profanity at police, according to the incident report.
Felipe had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.
