ROCK VALLEY—A 25-year-old Rock Valley man was arrested about 2:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, on a charge of second-offense operating while under the influence and possession of an open container of alcohol as a driver.
The arrest of Dillon James Schamber stemmed from the stop of a 1998 Ford F-150 for running a stop sign at Main Street and 17th Street, according to the Rock Valley Police Department.
Schamber did not pull over right away, but instead drove to his residence at 1924 15th Ave.
He had bloodshot, watery eyes and the odor of an alcoholic beverage and failed preliminary sobriety tests.
An open container of alcohol was in the center console of his pickup.
