ROCK RAPIDS—A 33-year-old Rock Rapids woman was cited Monday, Jan. 11, for assault causing bodily injury or mental illness.

The citing of Lorene Kay Lambertus stemmed from a report of an assault at her residence at 1008 S. Marshall St. about 4:10 p.m., according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim had a small laceration and red markings on her neck, according to the incident report.

Lambertus admitted to causing the injuries, according to the incident report.
