SHELDON—Weather has been an on- and off-again foe of RiseFest for years but this time around it's the coronavirus pandemic that will affect the annual Christian music festival held in Sheldon.

Rise Ministries of Sheldon announced Monday, April 13, it was postponing RiseFest 2020 until Labor Day weekend, Sept.4-5, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“It hasn’t been an easy decision, but we feel it’s in the best interest of you our festival-goers, our artists and volunteers, and all involved with the festival that we make this very important change,” said Rob Roozeboom, president and founder of Rise Ministries .

“We’re as excited to share RiseFest with you as you are to experience it, but everyone’s health comes first. Thank you for understanding and being supportive. We can’t wait to see you in September.”
