SHELDON—An 85-year-old Sheldon man received minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash about 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, on Northwest Boulevard two miles north of Sheldon.

Joseph George Schott was driving north when he lost control of his 1976 Ford F-150 due to blowing snow making the road icy, according to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office.

The pickup went into the west ditch and flipped over onto its passenger’s side.

Schott complained of pain in his right hand but was not transported for medical care, according to the accident report.

His pickup received an estimated $1,500 damage.
