PAULLINA—A 39-year-old Paullina man was arrested Friday, June 11, by an O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office deputy on warrants for possession of a controlled substance — marijuana — third or subsequent offense, six counts of unlawful possession of a prescription drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The arrest of Joshua William Stanley stemmed from the execution of a search warrant at a garage used by Stanley and located at 228 S. Maple St. at about 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, according to the Paullina Police Department.
Authorities found a black plastic container with marijuana in it, several items that appeared to be homemade pipes or smoking devices and six orange-tinted plastic prescription medicine bottles containing a variety of pills, according to court documents.
Four of the bottles indicated the original prescription had been to a “Joshua David Funk” while the other two bottles had no labeling.
Warrants for his arrest were issued Wednesday, June 9.
