PAULLINA—A 51-year-old Paullina man was arrested Saturday, Nov. 28, on a charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault resulting in injury or mental illness.
The arrest of John Martin Radican stemmed from an incident with his wife, according to the Paullina Police Department.
Radican had arrived home about 6:40 p.m. after he had been drinking but said he wanted to go up town and have some more drinks, according to the incident report.
His wife told she was cooking supper and he allegedly grabbed her arms and pushed her away from the stove and down to the floor of the kitchen.
He told authorities he had consumed about 1½ pints of whiskey, according to the incident report.
