SUTHERLAND—A 69-year-old Paullina man was injured in a motorcycle accident about 4:55 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, on Highway 10 about a mile south of Sutherland.
William Dean Rice was driving a 2002 Hartley-Davidson FLSTFI south on Highway 10 (Vine Avenue) where it turns east and was unable to keep the motorcycle on the road, according to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office.

Rice told authorities the motorcycle did not seem to be operating correctly before the accident.
He was transported by the Sutherland Ambulance to Cherokee Regional Medical Center.
