PAULLINA—A 38-year-old Paullina man was arrested about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, on a charge of first-offense operating while under the influence in Paullina.

The arrest of Chad Eric Ebel stemmed from a stop of a 2007 Dodge Caliber on the 200 block of Maple Street, according to the Paullina Police Department.

He had bloodshot, watery eyes and the odor of an alcoholic beverage and failed preliminary field sobriety tests.

Ebel also was cited for not having a valid driver’s license.
