SIOUX CENTER—A 43-year-old Sioux Center man was arrested Friday, May 6, on a charge of first-offense operating while under the influence.
The arrest of Ruben Galvan stemmed from him being found passed out at the wheel of a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup in the parking lot of Shell Sioux-Per Center, according to the Sioux Center Police Department.
Galvan had bloodshot/watery eyes, impaired balance, slurred speech and the odor of an alcoholic beverage and failed field sobriety tests.
He admitted to consuming about five beers, according to the incident report.
