SHELDON—A 27-year-old Orange City man was arrested Wednesday, March 25, in Sheldon on charges of assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
The arrest of Arturo Tapia stemmed from an altercation with another man, according to the Sheldon Police Department.
Tapia allegedly struck the other man in the face with his hand and the other’s man’s wrist when he tried to block the blow.
Tapia also kicked the windshield of the other man’s 2005 Nissan Maxima, causing it to break, and kicked off the sunglasses holder from above the rear-view mirror. The vehicle received an estimated $450 damage.
