ORANGE CITY—A 39-year-old Orange City man was arrested about 12:50 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, on charges of domestic abuse assault for a third or subsequent offense and obstruction of emergency communications.
The arrest of Timothy Randall Droog stemmed from his wife alleging they had been arguing when he pushed her and kicked her multiple times in the head and mouth, according to the Orange City Police Department.
She said Droog also had taken her cellphone from her when she tried to call 911.
The wife had a bump and abrasions on her forehead from the assault, according to court documents.
A no contact order also was issued against Droog with his wife.
Droog posted a $5,000 surety bond and was released Saturday, Sept. 7; however, he was arrested again about 10:55 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, after a deputy observed him at his wife’s residence in Orange City, which was a violation of the no contact order.
