IRETON—One person received minor injuries in a two-vehicle collision about 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, on Eagle Avenue, two miles north of Ireton.
Edward Franklin Bakker, 76, Rock Valley, was driving north when his 2002 GMC Safari entered the southbound lane and struck an oncoming 2006 Peterbilt semitruck pulling a feed trailer, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
Bakker was transported by the Ireton Ambulance to Sioux Center Health.
No other injuries were reported.
The Bakker vehicle received an estimated $8,000 damage.
Milton S. Timmer, 39, Sioux Center, was driving the semi, which received an estimated $9,000 damage.
