SIBLEY—A 31-year-old Ocheyedan woman was arrested about 12:20 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, on a charge of first-offense operating while under the influence at Jackrabbit Junction in Sibley.

The arrest of Taylor Belle Raye Pierre stemmed from a report of a woman “acting suspicious and possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol,” according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.

The deputy made contact with Pierre, who was driving a 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and she admitted to recently smoking marijuana.

The sheriff’s office’s drug recognition expert then evaluated Pierre and she admitted to him she recently had used methamphetamine also.
