Pheasant hunting

PAULLINA—The Youth Pheasant Hunt in O’Brien County is set for 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Crosbie Wildlife & Nature Youth Center near Paullina. Participants must be 12-15 years old.

Registration is limited to 20 participants.

The warmup trapshoot will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Afterward, each youth will be paired with an adult mentor to go on a one-on-one pheasant hunt.

Participants will need to wear weather-appropriate clothing and close-toed shoes.

They may bring their own guns, but guns also will be available for those who need them.

The event is sponsored by Mark’s Pump Sales and Service of Sutherland, the O’Brien County Sportsmen’s Club and the O’Brien County Conservation Board.
