SHELDON—Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon will host the NW Iowa Visual Arts Show featuring high school students’ art on campus opening Monday, April 26.
The show will open virtually on the NCC website starting Monday, May 3.
Each student may submit two works of art up to a total of 30 pieces per school in five categories: Ceramics, Digital Art/Photography, Drawing, Mixed Media and Painting.
First-, second- and third-place awards will be given in each category. First-, second- and third-place awards also will be given per school at the art teacher’s discretion.
These high schools were invited to participate: Boyden-Hull, Central Lyon, George-Little Rock, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, MMCRU, MOC-Floyd Valley, Netherlands Reformed, Okoboji, Remsen St. Mary’s, Rock Valley, Sheldon, Sibley-Ocheyedan, Sioux Center, South O’Brien, Trinity Christian, Unity Christian, West Lyon, West Sioux and Western Christian.
