GRANVILLE—A 31-year-old Orange City man was arrested about 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, in Granville on charges of driving while barred, possession of a controlled substance — third or subsequent offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and introduction of intoxicants or drugs into an institution
The arrest of Geoffrey Dean Oolman stemmed from the stop of a 1995 Ford Mustang on Highway 10 in Granville, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
Methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found on him after he consented to being searched.
Oolman was transported to the county jail in Orange City. He told authorities he did not have any other contraband on him, but a jailer found a bag of marijuana, according to the incident report.
