MAY CITY—A 35-year-old Slayton, MN, man was cited about 5:05 p.m. Monday, July 19, near May City on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine, first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The citing of Eugene Herke David II stemmed from the stop of a 2005 Ford pickup on White Avenue, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

The deputy detected the odor of marijuana and during a search of the vehicle located drug paraphernalia with a substance the field tested positive for meth as well as a small amount of marijuana, a marijuana pipe, a bong, a scale and a container that holds marijuana and rolling paper, according to the incident report.
