ROCK RAPIDS—A 27-year-old Omaha, NE, man received possible injuries when he crashed his semi about 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the south junction of 210th Street and Highway 75 about five miles south of Rock Rapids.
Rafael Magana was driving west on 210th when he failed to stop at the intersection and his 2020 Freightliner entered the west ditch, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
The semi struck multiple trees and a fence line before coming to a stop.
Magana reported possible minor injuries but refused medical treatment, according to the incident report.
He was cited for failure to maintain control of his semi, which received an estimated $100,000 damage. The fence line received an estimated $750 damage.
