SIOUX CENTER—A 24-year-old Sioux Center man faces multiple charges after he allegedly struck three buildings while driving under the influence about 11:40 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.
Santos A. Sebastian Gonzalez was cited Saturday, Oct. 19, on a charge of first-offense operating while under the influence, by the Sioux Center Police Department.
He previously was cited for possession of failure to maintain control of his vehicle, driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway, possession of an open container of alcohol, driving while his license is suspended and failure to maintain or use safety belts in regards to the same incident.
Sebastian Gonzalez was the driver of a 2002 GMC Envoy that struck three buildings on Second Avenue, according to court documents.
After his vehicle struck the third building he suffered injuries that rendered him unconscious, according to court documents.
Sebastian Gonzalez had bloodshot, watery eyes and the odor of an alcoholic beverage.
Open containers of Modelo beer were located in the vehicle.
