PAULLINA—A 51-year-old Paullina man was arrested Sunday, Nov. 29, on a charge of violation of a no contact/protective order.
The arrest of John Martin Radican stemmed from him using his cellphone in an attempt to contact an individual he was not to have contact with shortly before noon, according to the Paullina Police Department.
Radican had just been released from the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar after he had been arrested the previous day on a charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault resulting in injury or mental illness and a no contact order had been issued regarding the victim.
When the woman picked up her phone and saw who the caller was, she disconnected without answering.
Radican admitted to making the call, telling authorities he had been cold and did not know where to go, according to the incident report.
