SIOUX CENTER—A 29-year-old Spirit Lake man was arrested shortly after noon Monday, Nov. 11, on a charge of first-offense consumption of alcohol in a public place in Sioux Center.
The arrest of Brad Edward Engel stemmed from two reports about a man consuming alcohol in businesses and talking loudly for three hours, according to the Sioux Center Police Department.
Police found Engel in McDonald’s.
He had bloodshot, watery eyes; slowed slurred speech; a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage; soiled clothes; and an open Bud Light container, according to court records.
